How is there a world where this is cheating? We are better than this.

Kind of cheated. Judges also should have been better. If you are a pro you shouldn’t even consider taking it back. Learn from your mistakes

The other person let him and he didn’t tap his mana. I don’t see the problem.

I don't get people's gripes with rewinding, it's not like they're gaining an advantage between rewinding and just spend a bunch of time on each play.

The judge was there and made the rule

I believe there’s a rule about this and like passing priority but I could be wrong but if the judge allowed it and the other player allowed it idk

for those that dont get it, this is top tier play, this implies that you understand the plays/rules at a much higher level. once the play has been made and you release the card, thats the play if you fail to play your cards correctly thats on you if you didnt realize something after making a play..... not cheating but its a terrible call on judges

no new information, boardstate has not changed, and the opponent has not responded at all so should be fine to take it back.

it's like whenever they design standard they make it a rule to throw in 3-4 utterly broken cards that warp the format and forces 98% of ppl to use the same deck...ban boomerang basics and the 2 mana spell that gives ppl 3 cards, why would they possibly think either of those cards were a good idea.

He asked and the judges and his opponent let him. I wonder if his opponent regrets letting take back his misplay since he would have won.

I would get a deck count to see if he can do lethal or lose first, then say my answer. if casting that loses you the game, then you cast it and we won't go back.

Awful call from the Judge. You don't do take backs in competitive play. This is something I expect and support from a casual commander pod.
