@back2raw: Why do dogs eat grass on walks? It is assumed that this is the result of deficiencies in the dog's body, and in fact it happens that some dogs start eating grass more often due to mineral deficiencies, although it is not frequent. Eating grass may also be caused by digestive system problems. If a dog feels discomfort in his digestive system, tends to take food to relieve himself. The most common reasons dogs eat grass on walks are frustration and stress. When dogs feel stressed, they seek relief and a dopamine release. This means they seek self-rewarding behaviors that will trigger this release. Every dog has different needs and may seek different behaviors. Obviously we cant let dogs eat too much grass and we must monitor them!
