If I’m on the go and moving around I don’t notice anything but soon as I rest I notice movement, but it is what’s completely normal for you, you recognise you’re own babies patterns x

If you’re moving around loads you don’t tend to notice, especially with an anterior placenta.

I've been told to ignore the 10 times in an hour advice because every baby has their own patterns and every mum feels them differently based on placenta/water levels/positioning! I know for example boy does most of his movements around mealtimes. I also don't really feel him when I'm active and busy - I think because I'm distracted and apparently lots of movement can soothe them to sleep!

I have three little ones. I think you only need to be concerned if the movement reduces, so keep track of what her normal movement is. If you are worried never feel bad for getting checked.

31 weeks just now and still no pattern! she has days when she's really active and days when she's really quiet, just the odd movement here and there.

Anterior placenta girlie here! 23 weeks and have only just started feeling movements. They’re definitely not regular and she’s wayyy more active at night

I had an anterior placenta and my whole pregnancy I struggled to feel her. And the ten and hour absolutely not. My consultant said ten separate movements a day

She will move when your resting. In the daytime - I didn’t feel her much was too busy . When I’m sat still and relaxed she moved more, so felt her mostly in the evening, during the night, and early morning.

I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel as much as I did with my first, the placenta is cushioning most of the kicks

I’m 28 weeks and sometimes baby is very active and moves all day other days are quiet. I’ve been worried a couple times and have got checked and everything has been ok. Her normal is active morning and night and quieter during the day but I still worry as I wouldn’t say it’s 10 per hour

My baby is not a big mover and shaker and I have an anterior placenta. As far as the docs are concerned baby is healthy and just a bit lazy!

10 times in an hour is no longer recommended. Try and learn babies pattern and if they don’t move as normal go get checked. Keep some sugary pop in the fridge, have a can and lay down on your left side and concentrate on movements. I miss the small ones if I’m not concentrating. Xx

I don’t believe there’s any set amount of movements you should feel per hour- it says on the nhs website it’s about understanding your baby’s usual pattern of movement. I am 27 weeks pregnant also with an anterior placenta- I feel lots of movement in the morning when I first wake up, not so much during the day time when I’m moving around and then much more in the evening when relaxing

On the flip side Please don’t over think this but also don’t feel scared to ask anyone. I never felt my daughter who is now 2 and I never stopped feeling my son who’s 6 months. What ever normal is for you !

I was told because of my anterior placenta and im very active i wouldn't feel her constantly because all the movement would rock her to sleep and my placenta would make them less. they said to just clock what normally makes them move and only be worried if there's reduced movement during those things

I have a posterior placenta but if I’m moving about myself and quite busy then I don’t feel any kicks from baby. Once I’m resting I’ll notice them. But probably isn’t 10 times EVERY hour! Once I feel one or two movements I’ll start counting them and it probably takes anywhere from 2-10 minutes for 10 movements x

From 24 weeks you should be feeling her everyday, if not, slow down drink some water and fokus on her. You should feel her move multimedie a day, but not 10 times in an hour I would say. That’s what helped me

I’ve had 3 babies currently pregnant with my 4th and I’ve never been told the 10 times an hour. I’ve always been told to know your baby’s pattern, if the pattern changes and it’s unusual for your pattern then you must go in, an established pattern should be there by 24/26 weeks :)
