@rhiannoncooperpt: How to guide on how to do barbell hip thrusts, especially as a bigger girl in the gym! It’s ok to need to adjust movements or exercises to suit you and your body. For barbell hip thrusts with a barbell - if you’re like me and you’re a bigger girl with big thighs you can put plates down to raise the barbell from the floor to give yourselves more space! Focus on keeping your chest forwards and not collapsing backwards - look straight ahead. Core tight throughout and move your hips/pelvis in a scoop motion. Imagine any ice cream scoop. Would you do the same thing with the preweighted barbells (not sure what they’re called) I’ve been using one of the soft step up things to lean the back onto and with a mat. I am only starting with 5kg so a barbell isn’t an option
