I live next to a Tyson chicken plant. Truck loads of chickens come in daily and every night the loaded freezer semis go out. I cry every time I see it. But I still eat chicken so often. I understand but it’s sad

Personally, if I were to raise something, it would be impossible for me to kill it because I become very attached to animals. So, if I were to raise chickens, I think I would only raise laying hens. I understand that's normal, and I eat chicken, but I'm so attached that I could never kill them without feeling sad.

it's a necessary sacrifice and showing thanks for that sacrifice is the best way to go about it imo. I thank God for the gift of the animals and plants we were given to sustain ourselves even though it's sad they have to die for us to live
