ANGLES📐⬇️ Disclaimer: 1. This is what I do (not every time, but a lot of the time), and it has worked for me. Everyone is different! 2. This demo is overdramaticized for you to see a clear difference. Moving on…. You're taught to angle your chest toward home plate to block the ball on/close to the plate. Why not use the same concept with framing? Using our body to “move” pitch limits our glove movement - in which I'd argue that most umpires are watching the glove over the body. (Framing is real… don't come at me people.) We are also not actually moving the pitch itself; we are just manipulating our angle to create deception. Does anyone else do this and find success within it?
