I’m a respiratory therapist who intubates humans and it always cracks me up to see animals tubed. I also have a slightly brachy breed. She’s part bull dog and part boxer and snores like a grown man that needs CPAP

We had an English out of anesthesia and recovering with one for 2 hours the other day. The newer techs were eager to pull it and didn’t understand why I was adamant about leaving it. I told them I basically wanted her up walking around with it as long as she was tolerating it lol

I had a Frenchie intubated for over 20 mins fully okay with his ET tube still in. This is huge for Vet nurses to be away and NEVER pull that tube too soon! 🙏

This is so important since you look at them wrong and they will regurge. If you pull a tube on a frenchie and their mentation isn’t this then I will respectfully say you are doing it wrong

My frenchies never keep the tube that long and even bite after a while even though I use lido iv. Do you spray them with lido?

We did a soft palate correction and stenotic nares repair on a bulldog and when she woke up she wouldn’t give up that tube for about 30 minutes 😂 she was breathing better than she ever has
