Yeah Rory Stewart likes to think he is considered and magnanimous when in fact he holds up class and societal norms meaning he only needs to push back a tiny bit to keep the working class in their place and my God, doesn’t he revel in that power. So wrong. Real politics is not about class anger but is about finding common ground with many different views. The 'working class' is not homogeneous. Many vote for Reform while many are passionate socialists who totally disagree with Reform. Look at Brexit. The split in the UK over Brexit was absolutely not along class lines but along a much more complex division. Framing British politics as a class war is incredibly shallow in the modern world. It's laughable you claim the 99% are working class while the elite 1% are the ones against migrants. I despair of such a weak analysis in the face of a sustained right wing take over of the country by using their control of all the media channels to promote their agenda.

anger can be useful, often a virtue but it takes careful management. I doubt very much that Gary Stevenson is perfect however I don't detect a weakness for constant anger. It's an interesting thing for a man as intelligent as Rory Stuart to come up with such a poor point. Would have much preferred for Rory to address Gary's positions. having said that, I will listen to Rory, he's not perfect either, and he's not always wrong by any means.
