I think the tone of voice works perfectly for a British audience but American audiences are more high context and I see why it may not resonate with you. It actually worked really well with British audiences.

I get that it's not enough. But also I think to be clear young people really are so propagandised as to need these basics explained. I remember when someone explained consent to me I was relieved, it was that new to me 🙈

And yet it's the most powerful PSA because it was done using something that wasn't actually talking about sex. The idea of forcing someone to have a cup of tea is absurd. And then connecting that feeling of weird to the idea of sex is what helped it seems obvious to those who had blurred lines in their minds
