What is happening to the material? It’s shit!!! My go to jeans are vintage Levi, vintage gap and a pair of vintage Abercrombie. They don’t lose their shape and are really good quality denim you just can’t find anymore, no matter the brand.

Love this series. I found a pair of express jeans at goodwill that you may like. They are “boyfriend low rise” and they’re 100% cotton. I don’t think they make them now but you can find used. I can send you a photo of them on if you want. We are a similar height. ❤️

I also struggle finding this style of jean and have only been able to find it in old 501 Levi’s or Re/Done 90s straight loose/high loose (the style name has changed). They are pricey new but you could probably find them secondhand! They are more of a mid rise, rigid (but not stiff) so they hold shape, and a true STRAIGHT jean not tapered.

Best jeans I ever had were men’s Levi’s straight leg back in 1989-90. I wish I kept them and have no idea what “type” they were. The men’s fit was soo comfortable. I guess this isn’t very helpful lol 😉

@Alexander Look up Selvedge denim! Thats the structure you’re looking for. Madewell x Kaihara Selvedge Denim Dean Easy Straight Jean are the best mid rise rigid jeans I’ve found! 😁
