What we’ve got here is the 1953 Ghia Cadillac, owned by Lee Carr. Now, only two of these were ever built, so you’re basically looking at one of the rarest Cadillacs on the planet. Back in the early ’50s, Cadillac was really at the top of its game, these cars were more sophisticated than a lot of the Rolls-Royces of the time. Power steering, power brakes, automatic transmissions… Cadillac was pushing technology in a way that nobody else was doing. Then you hand that engineering off to the Italians at Ghia, and they turn it into a piece of rolling artwork. Long, low, hand-formed aluminum… it’s just gorgeous. American muscle under the hood, Italian sculpture on the outside.
