India needing Pakistan to sell a ticket is honestly the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. We’re talking about a country with one of the largest film industries in the world, our actors have international fanbases, our movies trend in countries that don’t even speak Hindi, and we’ve brought home Miss Universe crowns, Oscars, and global recognition for decades. Our entertainment industry is massive, and our reach is literally worldwide. And on top of all that, Dhurandhar is based on true events. What exactly is wrong with showing reality? If attacks came from across the border, portraying that on screen isn’t “obsession,” it’s called storytelling based on facts. India doesn’t need anyone’s name to boost a movie, the cast and the story is more than enough. BE SERIOUS!!!!

I was born and raised in Lyari, and no doubt, the movie was good. But the truth is, it didn’t even show 5% of the violence that actually happened. People who experienced it know how much the gang wars destroyed lives in Lyari and Karachi. Short skirts are impossible here; back in 2007/2008, it wasn’t common, and in 2025, it’s still not common. The last 5 minutes felt like an Indian obsession over Pakistan and using Pakistan just for ratings. And yeah, the way they copied the set of Lyari was really good! It felt very authentic and detailed.
