Hypothetically, AND THIS IS ONLY HYPOTHETICALLY, what would happen if you DIDNT pay your bills? Cause like………. A little bird has told me that after 7 years, they go away. 😀 The only thing you’d need to worry about is paying your OBGYN, and your baby’s Pediatrician, but you should be able to apply for Medicaid because it’s a major life change. THIS IS ALL JUST HYPOTHETICAL(look into it)

Most states have a mom and baby insurance program that covers you through pregnancy and up until 1 yr postpartum. Also WIC covers pregnant mothers. 🫶🏻 I lost my job during pregnancy when I was put on strict bed rest at 19 weeks. It was rough but God provides!

If you lose your income and health insurance while pregnant you can apply for pregnancy Medicaid, that way you can still have coverage for you and baby. The process to get approved is a lot faster too since it's specifically for pregnant women. I also live in Utah and I got laid off from my tech job at 24 weeks pregnant in 2024. It took less than a month to get approved

I was laid off 3 months pregnant and I was the only one who had insurance. It was rough not going to lie and hated that it caused me stress while pregnant. I def would look into Medicaid. If you’re in CA, I was able to get Medical for pregnant women and at least my insurance was covered. I’m sorry this is happening to you all.

Apply for pregnancy Medicaid. Even if just temporary better to have it and not need it. In most states it’s based on INCOME not ASSETS so you can qualify even while have a savings account and car. Get on WIC too to help with toddler food costs. And don’t beat yourself up if people say you’re ‘living off the gov’. It’s temporary and this is what these programs are designed for. That’s what a social safety net is for… helping lift each other up during rough seasons. Totally normal in Europe but still often shamed in America

This literally happened to me and my husband last year. I was 8 months pregnant, it’s set me into hypertension and I had to induce early. If you want you can look at market place for insurance.

This same thing happened to me and my husband when I was around 34 weeks pregnant. Medicaid is definitely an option. I hope he finds another job soon!

My husbands company laid him off earlier this year two weeks before our son was due🫠 Luckily his severance package was enough to cover us for a few months. Then he ended up in a job that sucked and had him working 14 hour days while I was home with a newborn. But now he has an awesome job so…everything works out?

I just got laid off a few weeks ago from my job and received the news only minutes after my 20 week ultrasound 😭 I had the larger income out of me and my husband so these last few weeks have been incredible stressful and I’ve just been struggling.

I am also pregnant (almost 20 weeks) and my job just cut my position from ft with benefits to part time with no benefits. So I lost my health insurance right in time for me to pop mine out in may lol. We’ll find a way!
