@joshuadent_: How old is “too old” to work in HVAC? Real answer? I don’t think ther is. Drop your age + how long you’ve been in the trade. Let’s see who’s still out-working the youngsters! #hvac #hvactechnician #hvaclife
I'm 46 and started 5 months ago but its a interesting trade that's for sure.

I think anyone over there 50s should revert from on feild work to on the field training/ teaching if you put the time in and make a name there shouldn't be any reason as to why u work over 50 in the feild when there's new guys that are hungry for money and knowledge I think it's a win win for both partys if older guys stay training and new guys are putting it to good effient use

It’s never too late to learn. I think it’s safe to say that everybody with a career in HVAC wishes they started sooner but the years don’t matter. What matters is what you know and what you’ve learned and continue to learn. On the flip side, if you’re still in attics and crawl spaces at 45-55, it’s time to move onto another aspect of HVAC. A lot of guys move onto controls or something not as physically demanding. Nothing wrong with knowing your limits.
