as a non-book reader, you have to be insane to not see the amount of yearning and pain Ilya is going through. His subtle looks, the words under his breath. He’s more free with Shane, but it terrifies him because it feels unachievable and to continue falling harder, especially with someone you feel you can never have a future with, is terrifying. And I got all this BEFORE looking into their book lore ✋🏼
