I’m not sure what you’re expecting to happen here. You have no whisk or bowl attached to it, its entire function is to mix stuff in a bowl. What action were you expecting it to do when it’s not even fully assembled?

I’m so sorry love. KitchenAid isn’t what it used to be. I’ve been considering @Bosch Mixers. Price is close and if you’re gonna be using them a lot, the quality and capabilities are unmatched.

You can call them and tell them what’s going on, they’ll more than likely send you a new one. That’s what I did last year when I got mine and it didn’t work! 🙂

PEOPLE: the KitchenAid can use attachments that don’t use the bowl or the spinning part. There is not a safety feature in them requiring one of these to be included. Source: I own two.
