Amen 👏🏻 if the Bible says women can teach other women and children - THAT IS MORE THAN HALF THE POPULATION!!! Why is that not enough?

Paul wasn’t banning all women from teaching. He literally sent Phoebe to teach the church in Rome, partnered with Priscilla who taught Apollos, and even praised a female apostle (Junia). The verse in 1 Timothy was for a specific church that had no order, not a universal rule. God doesn’t contradict Himself He wouldn’t empower women all through Scripture and then suddenly forbid them. Women can absolutely be pastors.

A true biblical church is being led by God. Anybody can shepherd a church Because that's what a pastor is a shepherd. I love my women pastor and she was truly called by God.

I thought I would add a little bit of historical context. In Romans 16:1-2 Phoebe is called a deacon (diakonos) which means minister servant or deacon. People misunderstand the role of women in ministry. In the first century people did not baptized in clothes, but in nude. Out of modesty and respect, they included women in ministry to help with baptism among the women. Not to mention as the gospel spread, they encountered societies were men and women were completely separate. How do you spread the word of God when you’re not allowed to approach women if you’re a man? You get women involved duhh. But throughout all Church councils, especially in the first council of it, makes it very clear the distinction of women deacons and their role within the church. They are not at the same level as the male deacons, but they do play a role nonetheless. Women cannot have ecclesiastical authority In other words they cannot shepherd, run be the authority figure of a church. But they absolutely can and should participate in ministry

Our church used the translation “I suffer women not to..” because it’s a MERCY. I think ppl forget God put Adam over the woman as part of punishment for sin. More responsibility means more accountability to God for what you do. I’m very thankful I’m a woman 😂
