I used to work at Starbucks and had a customer who loved foxes so one day I decided to draw one for her and gift it the next time she came through the drive thru. She started crying and explained that she started coming in everyday I worked because I looked like her late daughter who’s favorite animal was a fox. That’s why she loved them so much. I had gifted her the fox drawing not knowing that day was her daughter’s birthday.

Funny story. Couple weeks ago, a woman approached me with tears in her eyes asking if she could hug me because I looked like her husband when he was young. The best part was she didn’t know I needed that genuine hug more than she did.

My mom died when I was 6 and when I turned 8 I switched schools and the school nurse look just like my mom and wore the same perfume. I would go to her office for cough drops just to look at her. ☹️

Standing in the checkout line 2 people ahead of me I swore I heard my late grandmother‘s voice. She finished checking out and I reached out to her and said you sound just like my late grandmother and that was nice to hear her voice again. She said, “What is your name, sweetheart?” I told her, Candice she then proceeded to look me in the eyes and said, “I love you Candice.” It was precious.

I was at Walmart one day and a lady ran up to me crying and grabbed me. She apologized and walked away. Her husband apologized and said that I looked like there daughter that had passed away. I told them no need to apologize and asked could I give her a hug!

I work at a bank in a small town, I knew all of the customers, a man came in that I had never seen before. He looked, talked and moved exactly like my late father-in-law. He chatted with me while I did his transaction then left. I immediately sobbed, and said that was amazing but I never want to see that customer again,that it was too hard. I never did see him again.

My mom passed in 2003. I worked at Wendy’s years later and was working drive thru. A woman came through and immediately thought she sounds familiar. When she got to my window, I froze. She was a spitting image of my mom, I broke down, still couldn’t move. A coworker got me out of the freeze and all I could say was “you look and sound like my mom, who passed” she said I’m coming in. She parked her truck and came in the store, asked if she could give me a mamas hug and she hugged me so tight!

I lost my dad in 1997 at 58. A few years later I was in the service line at Meijer and I saw who I thought was my dad and I started to cry - ugly crying. The man finished his transaction and turned leave and looked shocked to see me, and gave me a huge hug. I was shocked until I realized it was my dad’s brother who I hadn’t seen in 15 years. I cried harder and he kept hugging me.
