None of these diseases are known to have originated in Europe though; the origins of Smallpox: Prehistoric Influenza: Possibly 6000 BC China Measles: Unknown, diverged from Rinderpest in the 4th century BC. Possibly anywhere in the Old World. Bubonic Plague: Central Asia Also Europeans bathed rather often, although not as often as modern day. Europeans actually bathed quite regularly since the time of the romans, things like the bathhouses that the romans built were still around, and they would even make more. 2. europeans were actually not very eager to just get rid of their waste back in the day was a very valuable thing to use as fertilizer you would even have people going around and collecting human waste and a lot of times it was worth quite a bit of money and for when they would get rid of their waste in the river, they would do it downstream away from where they drink their water. Cities like venice, they would dispose of their garbage in the high tide that waste would then get washed away during low tide the garbage would get flushed out of the city. 3. Europeans were actually some of the first peoples to start moving livestock out of the towns and cities. Having livestock in cities was a common practice all over the world, because that's where most of the people lived and they didn't have to travel as far to sell their meat.
