@cortneycoop: Day 170 post Greyson’s dirt bike accident and the eve of his 15th birthday 🎂 Each photo or video clip is approximately 1 week apart. The growth and strength of this child makes me so incredibly proud. Today he had a great match and went 2-1 for a season total of 6-3! 170 days ago Greyson was in a coma suffering a severe TBI grade 2 DAI June 23 he had a drain placed in his brain because his ICP was too high June 29 he was having full body tremors while in a coma unresponsive June 30 I saw him move his hand for the first time as a reflex to pain July 1 he opened his eyes for the first time but was unable to track anything or anyone July 4 he recognized me and hugged me for the first time after his accident July 6 his drain and ventilator were removed July 9 it took 2 therapists to assist Greyson in transferring to a chair July 9 we transferred to Mary Free Bed inpatient rehab July 12 he went outside for the first time since his accident in his wheelchair July 12 he started walking short distances (assisted) July 15 he walked assisted outside for the first time July 16 he spoke for the first time since his accident (aside from when he would respond to extreme pain) July 18 he learned how to use stairs again July 24 he got his feeding tube taken out (he is also now walking unassisted) July 29 he ran in the halls with his PT Carly July 31 he finally learned to jump and get his feet off the ground again August 1 he graduated inpatient therapy and we went HOME for the first time in 41 days! August 2 we celebrated at his favorite restaurant Sakura August 15 he went fishing for the first time since the accident August 20 first day of Freshman year (homebound schooling) September 16 got to ride a dirt bike again for the first time. (With restrictions September 22 went back to school for half days in person! September 27 Greyson’s Freshman homecoming October 24 met Layla for the first time 🤍 November 17 started wrestling and back to school full time! December 3 started his freshman wrestling season 2-0 December 6 went 2-2 getting 3rd place in his weight class December 8 wrestled 2-1 He doesn’t remember where he came from, doesn’t remember his hospital stay and has no idea just how impressive his accomplishments are. I will never forget the strength this stubborn child has. I love you Greyson Tyler and cannot wait to celebrate your 15th birthday tomorrow
