I did re-read Quicksilver and the Kingfisher POV chapters and the last bit felt so random to me. Like I know about that one dragon from that one battle. It felt out of pocket for me that we went through this thing with Onyx to this so quickly after

There's been dragons. Remember when Lorreth sings that song about Ol'Namshacry? that's a dragon. the city that they go through to get to the gate is the city Fisher saved. There's also a god mentioned in chapter 7 of Quicksilver who controls shadows that could be Fisher's father.

did you read the Kingfisher pov chapters on Hart's website? all of that ties heavily into those so if you didn't read them, it won't make sense.
