The Palestinian struggle is not defined by Hamas nor by the events of October 7, 2023. It is a century-long resistance against displacement, apartheid, and military occupation. To frame it otherwise is to erase decades of systemic injustice - land theft, settlement expansion, siege, blockades, checkpoints, mass imprisonment, and countless assaults on Gaza that claimed civilian lives long before 2023. Hamas itself is a consequence, not a cause - born from generations of oppression and settler violence. Even on October 7, Israel invoked the Hannibal Directive - its own policy of killing its citizens to prevent capture - meaning many of the deaths that day were by Israel’s own hand. Yet the narrative was flipped: they played victim, pinned it all on the resistance, and used it as the pretext they needed to unleash what the world now recognizes as a campaign of genocide. By their own admissions and the evidence mounting each day, the truth stands clear: the world knows and history will remember. To the people of the world: silence is complicity. Speak out, organize, and demand accountability. Boycott, divest, and put pressure on those who enable oppression. Share the truth, amplify the voices of the voiceless, and stand firm — for justice, for humanity, for Palestine. To the leaders of the world: your words and resolutions are no longer enough. The UN Security Council has been paralyzed by vetoes that shield impunity. The General Assembly and member nations must act - invoke the Uniting for Peace resolution. Authorize a multinational protection force to shield Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and beyond from Zionist aggression. The world cannot wait for consensus while children die under rubble. Enforce international law. Suspend arms sales, impose sanctions, and uphold the principles of justice and humanity your nations claim to defend. History will remember who stood for justice - and who stood by.
