When I was in college, I was walking home drunk from a party in the rain. The distance was 6 miles. So along the way, I stumbled upon a cop in his cruiser doing paperwork. I tapped on his window, scared the shit out of him and asked for a ride - politely. At first he said no; but then he decided he would rather give me a ride than continue his paperwork. Cops hate paperwork.
