The Japanese ice cream market is actually cutthroat. The American tourists don't realize it I think, but the amount and variety of ice cream treats easily dwarfs the US. Go in any grocery store frozen section and you will see what I mean, and want to try them.

My family loves it, even though my daughter hates mochi (it's the texture for her). my favourite is the matcha and red bean ones. hers is the milk tea and mango ones. my son loves the taro ones. 🥰

After watching this video, I bought the 雪見だいふく both vanilla and chocolate. My wife, you wouldn't believe the reaction. It was like I reconstructed one of her favorite memories from childhood, but even better she said, "I didn't know it came in chocolate!" 🥰 Of course we had the chocolate one first. One of the great things about being a Japanese native level fluent immigrant originally from the US is, I also get to bring her the best from my childhood. Today I got real American Cheetos; the Japanese version sucks. Most of the American snacks are too powerfully flavored or sweet for my three decades in Japan tastebuds, but the Cheetos are almighty. She rations my American snacks to me so I don't turn the full Homer Simpson.
