Another thing World war hulk does not cast hulk the front part is Bruce banner neither a green or red spell it’s a blue spell with a red/ green activated ability even without the tax you wouldn’t be able to cast it for free

So commander tax is a thing if u just played hulk then hes obviously not equipped with assassins regalia and u only had 3 red which u used to play caltrops 🥀.

The vid is right, but World War Hulk only reduces the cost in the card, not the Commander Tax, so you still need to pay for the commander tax.

For anyone wondering, commander tax does still apply in this interaction. The phrase used in chapter 1 of world war hulk is an ALTERNATIVE casting cost, which replaces Hulk’s casting cost of 2RRGG to 0. But commander tax applies afterwards as an ADDITIONAL cost being [2 times (how many times it was previously removed)]. Since he has no other cost REDUCTION effects which apply after all ALTERNATIVE and ADDITIONAL costs have been added up, he must pay commander tax to successfully cast The Incredible Hulk.

Can we get our rules right? Misinformation like this is why commander night is almost always an argument. There is NO way someone can reduce commander tax, it is an additional cost, like that of smothering tithe or rhystic study, not the cards mana cost, you still have to pay it or you cant cast your commander. The ONLY exception to this is "commander ninjutsu" as commander tax only takes effect when you cast a card and ninjutsu is actually an activated ability
