I think possibly it was healing for her combined with seeing the old him and getting a glimpse at what was. Don’t forget that Janelle’s kids are her achilles heel- the way he has treated them and continues to treat them.

It is a strange dynamic between him and Janelle. I feel like he has the most natural chemistry with her and he seems to have the most respect for her as well. I felt pain for her in that moment because you could see the glimmer come back for her but she also knows she can never go back to him after all the pain he caused her children especially.
