The capital/labor axis is not a great measurement. It heavily favors rhetoric over action. Needs some tweaking.

I like the idea of representation based on income, but I can easily see billionaires going back to building hospitals and libraries to curry favor with the working class

Here in Australia at our last election we had a website that helped you find where you fall on a chart like that and what politicians are closest to you based on policy and voting history. It really helps you work out who you want to vote for.

The vision helped me too. Tks. One thing I have been wondering for a while is why we stopped demanding consumer protection and when/how capitalism became so important we can not demand good quality products or accountability. I like your idea of equal representation but meanwhile we should start talking about how capitalism does not eliminate accountability.

You might have to put a 3rd axis in there for “actual vs performative” based on how they vote on bills.

a quadrant not represented (but I wish could be) is not having our rights tied to labor and what you can provide to your country in exchange for these rights. In my opinion I'm looking for candidates that are liberal/labor representing, but we need to also include disability rights and common sense healthcare initiatives - such as clean air for all spaces etc

As a Missouri resident, Hawleys speaks as if he serves labor but only in things that are safe and will never come to a vote or things that have broad support and are easy wins. He will ultimately fall in line with the party when it comes down to it.

I think the labor serving is still capitalist in nature...we need a different spectrum
we need to be in service of community and that is organizers and community builders, usually leftists as abolitionists who don't fit into this framework

One I’m familiar with has economic left-right on X-axis, and Authoritarian-Libertarian on the Y axis. still flawed and easy to misuse … but a multi axis grading is absolutely needed

Including any Republican as serving labor is laughable if you look at policies

if you look at the wealthiest congressional districts they are some of the most liberal districts in the US. the major issue is a handful of ultra wealthy individuals combined with cooperations funding and special interests driving nearly every piece of legislation from DC to state capitals to city councils. citizens united killed our democracy.

Ah, representation based on wealth, so you don’t get one senator but .0003 % of a representatives time (think lawyer billing) and the rest of the population get’s the rest, love it!
