People don’t understand that even though your close to a restaurant it can be further for the driver not the closer one to you it can go to the closer one but most of the time it’s the one further from the house you live at take that into consideration when tipping

tipping culture is gone so far out of hand and door dash Uber eats and grub hub drivers are messing with and taking food from people cause they didn't tip enough. tipping was never to be what it is and I think we should get rid of tipping as a whole you shouldn't be mad at the person tipping but you should be mad at the company you work for.

I was a DD driver for 3 years and would NEVER do something like this! I DO understand being frustrated about a low tip simply bc nowadays DD is sending us orders that are MILES from where we are and then we have to go even further to drop it off and then the miles to get back to our area but if you don't like the pay don't take the order. It's usually pretty easy to at least guess what the tip will be bc base pay is typically $2 so anything higher than that can be assumed to be tip so if this order was $7 she had a pretty good idea of what the tip would be and accepted anyway. that's on her.

I think the root cause of this all is doordash and their shitty treatment of dashers, $1.50-$2 minimum base pay and whatever the tip is added onto that. not even mentioning they penalize drivers for declining low tip offers and if you decline too many shitty offers (which on some nights can be back to back) then you can lose perks you get as a dashers such as the ability to even schedule yourself whenever you want. they also force certain dashers to take no-tip offers if they keep declining by sneaking them into a double dash with an order that did properly tip. if pay isn't $2 per mile needed to drive minimum (going to and from the location) then in turn we end up losing money and putting unnecessary wear and tear on our vehicles. but that factor shouldn't be reliant on customer tips, doordash should pay the bare minimum for any distance and let the tip be ontop of that, that way people get their food and other people get their money. (not defending the dasher in this video at all, that is a pos and never in any circumstance, no matter how peeved we get with a low tip, should NEVER mess with others food.)

A tip is gratuity for a job. Well done it is not required by the customer at all. They could’ve given them a zero dollar tip. A tip is not required by definition by morality standards even a tip is not required. They should be happy. They got shit for a tip and after that with how their attitude is, I hope one DoorDash never hires them again and any job they ever go to from now on they never get a tip again
