my SAI was around 5000 last year and I got aid. Did mine with no change to job,income etc and it is 8000 making me ineligible.Literally going to go cry.

Do also remember that Pell is FEDERAL. Different states also give aid. Example, Illinois has MAP Grant which is state funded.

When my sister applied to fafsa about 2 years ago she got 8,000 in Pell grants then when I applied this year I wasn’t eligible and didn’t get anything 😐 nothing has changed in our household income in the last 2 years so..?
