But imagine if something falls on her foot or the oil from the fry station burns them. The company is liable, plus I'm sure she's touching then since they are sore. Then touching food. Nah even if you wash your hands that's just not ok.

I would have complained as well that is disgusting. It is not like that employee is at home they can go ahead and get bigger shoes The code for United States is when you're working behind the counter You must have a uniform on that also including shoes there is a safety standard there because if something would have dropped like a glass on the floor she could have been cut or hot oil on the floor. But they're still is a code for a uniform in regardless she needed to have shoes on at work. please United States do not make our standards like India let's keep some common sense also sanitary rules.
