I've done doordash. A driver can see the tip before they take the order and can decline the order. No one should feel pressured to tip.

The term tip for delivering you food pisses me off. It isn't a tip, it is the value you place on someone using their own money and vehicle to bring you food. A tip should be applied after for well done service. That being said, fucking with people's food esp in this case is bullshit regardless of any reason. I would never be so unprofessional as to tamper, steal, or destroy food someone ordered. DD does need to pay better, good luck getting that passed. I hope this dasher goes to jail.

As someone who use to deliver for DoorDash 5 dollars is usually fine depending on how far you are but unfortunately DoorDash takes a percentage of the tip idk if it’s different now but we tested it and lost some money doing so but the dasher doesn’t have to accept it’s her fault if she didn’t like it just don’t accept

thats assault, DD MESSING WITH FOOD ,eating n drinking from someone else's food happens way to often its disgusting why I don't use DD never know if its been messed with an forced to pay a tip bc youre scared they'll do something to your food is so wrong id rather pick up my order

you would smell the pepper spray way before even touching the bag in any case things like this is starting to get more & more out of hand with the whole tip culture bullshit they only way this will stop is when the service provider (door dash etc) get held responsible along with the delivery person

Tips should never be given for anything, the employer needs to pay them. It’s not the consumers responsibility. The idea of tipping is no different from the old protection rackets of the MOB

a tip is not that serious!! I except all orders as long as they aren't super out the way those little cheap trips add up too. sometimes I honestly make more off the cheap orders cuz I can usually do more quicker
