They should contribute or bring a whole item such as agree to do the meat or desserts! Xx

I would offer to contribute! Common decency for a family member cooking for that many people and spending £800

Yes think it’s totally acceptable to ask for donations and for so many people and I think it’s appalling that they haven’t even offered the cheek

My mum only has the 8 of us, the kids hardly even eat and we STILL do one of us brings dessert one brings something else to contribute, this year I’m doing dessert and my brothers bringing the gammon, yes mum loves doing it but we would never not bring SOMETHING and help clear up!!

I don’t know what exactly we’re spending £800 on … i think it’s bad etiquette to ask for a contribution but if it’s costing that much then sure. Maybe go out next year it would be cheaper 😬

people should be giving at least £10/20 and a bottle if they drink its just rude especially with the cost of living
