As terrible as it is, it's a more and more valid question for people trying to be aware of their media choices, given the flood of regurgitated rubbish the market's been dealing with. And great to hear. Long live the rhubarb. Love the lettering!

I honestly think "is this GenAI?" is often the wrong question. It's more "is this the type of company that would deprive an artist of their craft?" and more often than not, it's the smaller studios who give a resounding No, and the larger ones that are so shareholder focused that it's a resounding Yes.

Look, I hate AI too. But it, unfortunately, can make that rhubarb. We have to stop challenging it, and getting upset when people ask if/assume something is AI and we need to start proudly advertising when something isn't AI.

unfortunately even if I don't think it might look like it, I do check every single page if it has the disclaimer, because I've been burnt unfortunately before. I LOVE when people fully say it's handmade as a disclaimer, so I know even if it sucks to do, thank you!

Lets not point fingers at gen ai though (yet again). AI is not the problem. The people going on performative witch hunt are, people with no understanding what ai role in game dev is, what it can and cannot do. Suddenly everyone is an expert.

I don’t like Ai art as much as the next replaceable game dev but I know that Gen AI could make that rhubarb in seconds, probably make it look more convincingly grounded in the environment and provide countless iterations and revisions. We need better arguments for hand crafted work
