girl this is honestly so valid. Sometimes I see edits of mine that have been stolen or copied without credit but most of the time I donโt really say anything because I know it wonโt stop some accounts from doing it. But Iโm so glad your using your platform to address these issues, especially since ur edits are amazing and clearly identify true talent and hard work. Inshallah this comes to an end for all passionate editors out there ๐๐ค

Actually, I agree with you. I think if you want to make a similar edit that inspired you, then you should first ask the author if you can take this idea, and if so, be sure to give credits. You need to be able to appreciate the work of another person, and not just steal the idea or the edit itself. It's not hard to just ask for an idea, and not just steal someone else's edit. And yet, I've seen many such accounts that steal other people's edits, including yours. When I noticed this, I immediately wrote in the comments that it wasn't their edit and mentioned the real editor. But they didn't listen to me, and just ignored me. It's very frustrating and unpleasant when you think about an idea yourself, create something new, and your edits are simply stolen from you

Unfortunately, TikTok's moderation team doesn't do anything. Some profiles stole my edits too, I report them, and TikTok doesn't take down the post. But you can count on me if you need help reporting a post. ๐

I absolutely agree with you. There are so many people who steal from us editors, and when we try to confront them theyโre disrespectful, and donโt appreciate our hard work and passion. They just take our edits and post them as their own. Iโm really happy that someone finally talked about it. You donโt deserve this.
