@allaboutfarming: If a person hauled unpriced grain in off the field they’d be getting ~$0.50/bu lower price for their grain than they would be now. For quick math I spent an extra $0.20/bu loading & unloading & moving the grain to use this bin.

So you’re still up $.30/bu. How’s the math work out after drying and storing?

Basis hasn’t changed here. Still -.45 to -.65 it’s all relative to your area. And there’s still corn standing some areas because there’s no room. Things aren’t the same everywhere. And to get the -.40 cent basis is 100 miles one way. When the corn belt fills up and then the river shuts down with our later/shorter growing season it causes issues.

So far in my area prices are fully back up to within $.02 on corn where it was when harvested. And have 7 weeks interest and storage against it.

Ethanol plan I sell grain to will come out with a “hot “ bid. A week I call and it’s 20 cents higher. I get it, they’ve gotta keep raising price til they get the grain but it is annoying when I leave 15 cents
