I think the problem/what people are tired of if influencers starting companies/brands that don’t have any unique qualities or unique selling points other than it being “their brand” - like, yes, the point of a business is to earn money -

i think it's a lot of times it's less about the "perceived quality" and more that there are influencers claiming premium quality and visibly providing low quality, white label, mass produced product and expecting people to bandwagon on a bait and switch product

I think people forget that “influencer brands” are simply small businesses! They would never destroy a “mom and pop” small businesses like that

The "perceived quality" is what matters to a consumer that will be using it. Let's stop gaslighting potential customers into not having quality standards because you chose to start a brand. Literally no one forced you into this.

I work as an engineer in this middle ground area of R&D to full on manufacturing and see the cost of starting manufacturing costs on the daily. It’s so hard in the beginning but I know you got this ♥ keep powering through. The most expensive part is getting the product right and associated machining required to make it.
