Respect to the Teachers noticing your home life ¬ singling you out, but helping you to feel like everyone else 🤗 Doing something small like washing your clothes/teaching self care/showering. I’ve been that person in education, it’s more than just a job. It’s helping raise, support and lift up children in poverty who don’t know any different. The moments that stick with me are the times I’ve taken children to experiences, city children to beach trips and simply going on a coach that have given them opportunities to become more than the environment they were brought up in. Lots of love to you for speaking out on something that must have been difficult to live and survive through xx 💖

I didn’t know how to use deodorant properly and started puberty pretty early, a teacher took me aside and kindly told me and explained to me because she didn’t want the other kids to be horrible

schools in those times have nurses on site. they use to genuinely feed kids and have the facilities to genuinely take care of children. so they probably did have a proper bathroom and washing facilities for her clothes
