No I’m literally so obsessed with this show because of the direction, the subtle differences between the show and the book, and the discourse surrounding it. Is it pandering to straight women? Or is it a genuine display of queer longing (and eventually: queer love) that even cis straight women are attracted to, because it doesn’t display women in a fetishized way. But as a lesbian, it really makes me wish there was a show like this for us. Idk I could talk about heated rivalry and its interpretations for hours.
