@magicmoneytips: Want to build a strong plan for retirement? Here are four smart ways to save and grow your money so future-you can relax, travel, and live life on your own terms. Listen up and save this video! 1. Pensions: This is the powerhouse option. When you pay into a pension, the government boosts your contribution with tax relief, and employers often add money too. That means you’re getting free cash to build your retirement pot, plus your investments can grow tax efficiently. Long term consistency here is key. 2. Property: Buying property can deliver solid long term returns and rental income in retirement. It’s a tangible asset and inflation can lift rents over time, but remember you’ll usually pay tax on the income and profits. There are also costs like maintenance, insurance, and void periods, so it’s not totally hands off. 3. Stocks and Shares ISA: This is your flexible, tax free growth wrapper. You invest in funds, shares, or ETFs and any growth or income is yours to keep with no tax to pay. Great for building wealth alongside a pension. 4. Cash Savings: Always keep an emergency fund. This covers surprises like car repairs or job changes so you don’t raid your long term investments at the wrong time. Mixing these strategies can spread risk and boost your chances of a comfortable retirement. Everyone’s situation is different, so always take professional advice before making decisions. Your future self will thank you for starting today. Start early, automate contributions, and review your plan each year as your income and goals change. Small increases now become big wins later thanks to compounding. If you’ve underestimated retirement costs, act today. Consistency beats perfection, and progress beats procrastination. #retirement #finance #investing #pensions #wealth

I've got a pension, property and investment.. Out of the 3 Investment first and Property last.. Property as you say is laden with tax and too much responsibility.

I recently found out my pension is only paid on qualifying earning, is this quite common? I 'wrongly' assumed it to be a percentage of my whole salary.
