A big reason why my wife is a SAHM, if she had a job the entire paycheck would go towards daycare. So instead she stays home and allows us as parents to have the main influence in raising our kids.

My daughter works remote from home which is so good because of this so it doesn’t effect her social security down the road and she doesn’t have to dependent god forbid something happens to him.
