Chris Harrison Responds to Reported Cease-and-Desist Letter Over His New Fox Nation Dating Show The Vow Chris Harrison is speaking out about a reported legal fight with the studio behind The Bachelor. The 55-year-old is hosting The Vow, a new Fox Nation dating series. It premieres Nov. 11. He developed it with his wife, Lauren Zima, to take a more “authentic and intentional” approach to finding love. Harrison says it is very different from The Bachelor. There are no elimination ceremonies and no rose equivalent. If a relationship is not working, he says, couples break up face to face, “like real people do.” But there is a legal twist. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Television sent a cease-and-desist letter on Sept. 18. The letter alleged that The Vow was a “plain attempt to capitalize on and ‘ride on the coattails’” of The Bachelor franchise. Fox News Media disputed the claim. In a Sept. 24 response, it said Warner Bros. was targeting Harrison in a “malicious and vindictive manner.” When Entertainment Tonight asked Harrison about it, he said, “Sounds like somebody misses somebody really bad.” He added, “Green’s not a great color on anybody, is it?” He also told USA Today it felt “personal.” He said he has not seen the studio go after the 50, 60 or 70 other dating shows. Harrison left The Bachelor franchise in June 2021 after nearly two decades as host. The first teaser for The Vow, released Sept. 16, included a nod to his past. “Roses fade. True love lasts forever,” he said. Is this a fair fight, or is the studio protecting its brand? #Chris #celebrity #Bachelor #Fox #Dating
