once seen never forgotten, I go back to the old Vulcan display flight days as a small boy in the early nineties. There was nothing like this thing being stood on its tail at full power, it was awesome.

The sound of the Vulcan howl is awesome, possibly my second favourite aircraft sound. No. 1 has still got to be the Merlin engine though.

The Vulcan had the scariest sound to terrifie the enemy. The best sounding aircraft is the Lancaster Bamber and those four Rolls Royce Merlin engines.
