The “Zendaya can’t act” discourse reminds me of the Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, Rachel Ziegler cycles of “we love a talented woman until we don’t” and people always come back around. It’s like we love accomplished women until they’re too big (our adoration made them that big) and then we hate them. Then we forget we hated them and start to love them again
