Whenever my 8 month old starts screaming and crying in the car I immediately put on The Happy Song by Imogen Heap and BAM. She magically stops. You should try it when Norah has her car scaries.

Are you still using her newborn car seat by chance? When we switched to the Graco 360 convertible car seat, my daughter did much better.

My 10 month old was an absolute nightmare in the car from the literal day we came home. She had improved a little bit (like tolerated short rides with no fussing once in awhile, sometimes would fall asleep for 20 mins tops and if we were taking multiple car rides in a day she’d lose it on the ride home) around 8 months old but what literally changed our lives is the 360 convertible seat (we have the evenflo extend). We just got it for Black Friday. The day before, she screamed an entire 20 minute car ride. The next day after we installed, she just chilled (awake) for an entire hour to the beach and fell asleep for an hour on the ride back from the beach. She’s so much more comfortable, can safely look out the window rear facing (she would try to lean forward in her infant seat and would get upset) and plays with her toys without throwing them. My only regret is not getting it sooner, check it out if you haven’t already!

So I would recommend trying a convertible seat-my girl outgrew hers comfort wise so much faster than predicted

I drive everywhere and here there’s nothing close. It’s been better since the Little one is in his new car seat. We have a graco 4 ever in one vehicle. I even flew across the country with it. The truck has the evenflo 360.
