Trae Vernon Eklund :
You better take off the expenses to get that calf to market. If you want to compare something compare apples to apples. Your payment to the canola growers is a loan for your expenses to grow that product. It costs money to grow cattle too as well.

Why u want to put down the Hereford. It’s your choice to farm part time as all grain farmers do.

But you farm desert land and get crop insurance payouts to keep afloat? So the better 1/2 of Sask is subsidsing your farm….

Canola growers is taking $4 off because you borrowed the money and now you have to pay it back lol they aren't taking it. You just borrowed your grain cheque at the start of the year. I do it too just like many farmers lol
