No really. how do our bodies even work. with all of this going on how we even function or walk and talk or do anything including learning, remembering, anything. I don't care what. it is absolutely astounding that we're even alive.

Can you specify to the tRNA which “stop codon” to ignore? Or is does it “misread” all stop codons, even the correct ones?

I have a nonsense mutation in one of my p53 genes. It‘s very comforting to understand the backgrounds a bit since it gives a little sense of control. And also knowing there a smart people out there working on solutions. Thanks for your work.

If the tRNA ignores a stop codon and continues the transcription process, won't that change the protein entirely or the tRNA will just skip the stop codon

Looking forward to the next video. One would presume if it ignores the stop in nonsense mutations that it will also ignore the normal stop intended to end the translation.

Can you explain how DNA editing works? Presumably there’s no tech to edit each of our billions of cells. How do copies of the edited cells proliferate, let’s say in blood cells or bone cells?

I thought a Nonsense mutation was just a random change in one of the nucleotide bases? That changes a codon and could potentially change to a stop codon or just end up being an unusable protein structure. I’m only first year biomed so probs wrong.
