The way the Vince Gilligan himself has referred to this as a zombie story makes me feel insane because imagine being the survivor of a zombie apocalypse and meeting the other survivors and them saying that zombies are chill actually. Like even without all the other trauma Carol has experienced, the gaslighting nature of that alone I think would drive me insane. People are not giving Carol enough credit actually.

The trauma of loving her wife, reliving her time at "camp", navigating this world that robbed her of what seems to be her only real family. Regardless of if you agree of disagree with how she goes about things, she's allowed to process this whatever way she wants to, especially since it's been 2 weeks.

I so much agree, the most disturbing for me in this show is how the audience reacts to her. I mean, all of the sudden the world as we know has changed and she has all the normal reactions, but the audience was shaming her for being egocentric. it's just blowing my mind, are we as a society cooked?!

carol is, plainly, a good person with good/bad traits found in ALL of us! it’s odd for people to villainize her for the same things most of us have been caught doing or feeling! what’s wild is if you removed the sci-fi element and saw her as someone who lost her wife and family, without knowing anything else, people would be donating to her go fund me! 😭 like if you knew someone was depressed or snarky would you not care for their hardships anymore? it’s such a simplistic, non-empathetic view on humanity these people have that dislike her…and misogyny!

We see her lose her partner in her arms,everyone is basically gone in the world, and the only people left hate her. Of course she does not feel good. Can you imagine finding out the thing that is the reason a bunch of people, including your wife died, are eating the dead bodies of those they basically kill, even though they claim to do no harm
