Island of the Blue Dolphins. I read it in grade school. Had my son and daughter read it. They loved it. It's a true story. You won't want to put it down.

I bought The Pearl in the 50s when in high school, for 25cents!! Just finished reading it again for about the tenth time. It literally fell apart in my hands!!
