I need to know if a hairstylist cuts layers with scissors or a blade beforehand. I had layers growing up, and recently got my haircut and my hairstylist used a blade. I hate my layers now 😭

Personally they still don’t look good to me. It’s not bad it’s just not the best style for straight. It has to be slightly wavy or styled to look good

I got the butterfly haircut and it looked great styled and straight 🤷🏻♀️and it grew out beautifully idk why people are always like “now straighten it” sorry I go to someone who knows what they are doing lol

I've had layers in my hair since The Rachel went viral. My hair was pin straight in the 00s like everyone else's and it looked fine. Hell, in the years between 1998 and 2002 when I was in high school, layers were popular with us girls and some of them were literally ironing their her straight. I am talking about old school laying your hair on an ironing board and taking a clothes iron to your hair. We looked fine as long as they were blended.

This is true. But it’s so hard to find someone that’s why. I went through 8+ hairdressers when I was 15 and have been with the same person ever since (I’m 22 now). But I have a lot of hair, so I needed to get layers to have it more light and structured!
