this is what i always remind myself whenever i miss him and want to go back—in every conflict i had with him, he had always invalidated my feelings, raised his voice at me and turned it into my fault. in the end, I'd just keep all to myself and act like it didn't bother me anymore even when it did. I'm glad, I finally got out of that cycle because it really took me weeks and months to finally let go of what felt familiar, even when i loved him deeply, i didn't want to be stuck in the same cycle everyday.
